Naomi L. Neville, AIA, LEED AP

Naomi Neville is an architect and cultural leader whose work bridges design, heritage, and community to shape more connected and inspired environments. As Campus Architect for the J. Paul Getty Trust in Los Angeles, a role Naomi has held for the past six years, she oversees planning, design and construction of capital projects totaling more than $300 million, spanning museum, conservation, and research facility programs.

With more than 20 years of experience in all aspects of architectural practice, Naomi also led Neville Architecture, LLC, the firm she founded in Newport, Rhode Island, in 2005. She previously worked with Robert A.M. Stern Architects in New York City and Koning Eizenberg Architecture in Los Angeles, contributing to nationally recognized projects that integrate history, innovation, and community.

An Adjunct Instructor at the University of Southern California and former faculty member at the University of Rhode Island, Naomi is also the author of Gracious Living: Home Design for Your Future, an aging-in-place design guidebook. Her civic leadership includes service as a Trustee of the Preservation Society of Newport County, an elected City Councilor for the City of Newport, and a member of the Rhode Island World Heritage Committee. She also co-founded the Rhode Island Chapter of the AIA Committee on the Environment (COTE).

Naomi holds a B.A. in Art History from Yale University and a Master of Architecture from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, where she received the William Kinne Fellows Traveling Prize. She is a licensed architect in California, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, and a LEED-certified professional.
